About the Instructor
Drew Levanti is an astrologer and caretaker of the Orphic tradition. His practice explores the interpenetration of art, soul & astral science, writing music & poems exploring the cosmic journey of the soul, and teaching on topics that facilitate students’ epiphanies about time, astrology, and magic.
A dedicated student of traditional astrology, Levanti is the official tutor for Chris Brennan’s Hellenistic Astrology Course. He also teaches regularly in Austin Coppock’s Fundamentals of Astrology Program, Years I and II.
His academic background is in anthropology, receiving his undergraduate with honors from the University of Chicago in 2018. Drew plans to return to graduate school in the near future to explore how mystery traditions and Mediterranean skywatching converged and formed the foment of Hellenistic astrology.

What is an election?
An election is a moment or astrological chart chosen for the beginning of an important initiative. People use elections to align their actions, agreements, & intentions with the support of auspicious timing.
How is Electional astrology unique in Launchpad?
Typically, elections are seen in a vacuum, meaning that a “good” election is thought to be universally good, for anyone.
But actually, elections interact with the rich specificity of our personal cycles, and depend on the birth chart as a “root”. This means that for one person, a particular election could distract them from their true purpose, while for another, it could help them rediscover nourishment & flow.
Launchpad’s approach to Electional astrology is about personalizing elections to your natural rhythms and talents, so that you can find co-creative flow with the cosmos.
Finally, Launchpad also offers a “devotional” approach to elections. This means students are invited to orient their spiritual practices & prayers toward the planets & deities that take center stage in their elections. Several new translations of the Orphic Hymns (Ancient Greek planetary prayers) will be offered to guide you in this optional practice.
What is Predictive astrology?
Broadly, predictive astrology is the observation of change through a person’s birth chart. At any time in an individual’s life, there are certain parts of the chart they are mainly exploring.
This allows us to see not only how different events are likely to unfold in a given time, but also what archetypes we are interacting with and learning from.
What do you mean by “the fates” and the “body” of space-time?
By the fates, I mean the mythological fates—the Moirai. The image of fate as a web suggests that it is not fixed or immutable, but a tangle that can be loosened and re-woven. As I said above, Time is not the Limit, it is the Loom!
By the “body” of space-time, I’m again taking up on Kristin’s work. Viewing time as a linear march onward is a view that unnecessarily limits us and our sense of the possible. Viewing time as a body, with circulation & flow, with wounds and balms, is a much more interactive way to relate with time. And probably more accurate to the way multi-dimensionality actually works.
In Launchpad, you’ll explore Time and the Fates as beings with whom you can have relationships and build collaborations. These beings are limits like the ground is a limit. We plant things in the ground. The ground is a source of stability and nourishment. Time and Fate are like this.
What do you mean by an election bringing me “inner peace”?
In today’s society, it’s common to seek “success” based on external metrics or validation. But the standards of success are limiting, just like the standards for a “successful” looking election can be.
By practicing Electional astrology with respect for the natal chart’s natural flow, we allow ourselves to access and develop our own standards of success. This is an experience of inner peace.
Who is Initiate Launchpad for?
It’s for any astrology student or enthusiast or astro-curious individuals with at least a basic grasp of planets, signs, and houses. Launchpad is an excellent space for students to see how planet-sign-house combinations play out in practice.
Some people are afraid they’re “not advanced enough” for an offering like this, but in fact, this is the perfect place to develop interpretation skills. The relationship we build with the current astrology enriches your embodied understanding of astrological symbolism.
How much prior knowledge is required?
Just a basic understanding of the planets, signs, and houses. The content of Chris Brennan’s Astrology Podcast Episode 64, Episode 231, and Episode 233, as well as the individual episodes on each of the Zodiac Signs are great materials to review before class.

I took another Electional astrology course. Is Launchpad right for me?
Yes! The approach in Launchpad will deepen and expand your electional knowledge. Specifically, you’ll learn how to integrate Electional astrology into your natal techniques. You’ll move with astrology that is not presented as one-size-fits-all.
Is participation required on the live calls?
No. Not everyone will be able to attend every live session. Those who do attend are welcome to keep camera on or off. Spoken participation is occasionally requested and almost always welcome, but never required. It’s about doing what serves you and your learning best.
Are there any required texts for Launchpad?
No. All texts used in class will be provided digitally as excerpts. A list of recommended texts is available on request.
What platforms will we be using for class?
Our community platform host is Mighty Networks. Enrollees will get a link to join our network within 24 hours of registration. Our weekly meetings are held on zoom. The instructor is available via email at drew@archeastrology.com.
Also, in doing elections in a daily way, it’s very important to not be stuck using astro.com (as great as it is). I recommend AstroGold for those looking to make an investment, especially the phone app, which is about $40. TimeNomad and TimePassages are popular options with a much lower cost.
What is the cost of the program?
The program is $424 if paid upfront, or $77/month for 6 months.
What other benefits are there to joining?
Being in Launchpad (or past offering of Initiate) is a pre-requisite to be in the Initiate membership, which offers ongoing support on Electional astrology.
