What is Electional Astrology?

Electional Astrology is the practice of choosing when to take action based on the momentary alignment of the planets, stars, and sky.

These moments in which we choose to act are called ‘elections,’ astrological charts we choose.

The election’s energy is carried with whatever you begin, shaping its manifestation in your life and its impact in the world.

 

When we initiate with Electional Astrology, we are also being initiated.

 

Our elections change us, just like our choices change us. This is initiation.

About the Teacher

Drew Levanti grew up in the forests of the Nisqually Basin in Washington State, where he was initiated into mystical arts from a very young age. Working with spirit has always been core to Drew’s path. During Leo eclipses of 2017, astrology initiated Drew, and became a primary tool in his work. 

Drew has been practicing electional on a daily basis since 2019. In 2020 he launched his client practice, Archē, where he offers natal, electional, and horary services for clients seeking attunement with the spheres.  

As a teacher, Drew encourages students to find their own voice, style and connection with the craft. 

Drew believes in the innovative spirit of each of his students, and treats the knowledge as open-source, without the trappings of dogma.

With Venus in Taurus in the 7th House and a Leo Moon in the 10th, Drew is known for being warm and receptive and for giving thorough and supportive instruction and feedback.

Drew is a fantastic teacher with a warm presence and knack for explaining and breaking down astrological concepts.

This course emphasizes praxis, applying the rules you learn and testing elections. You learn how to craft with time, gain a sense of agency, and gather tools and a language for assessing the qualities of specific moments and events. It's often startling, hilarious, and uncanny how the chart of a past election ends up explaining how the event unfurls.

Your peers will share charts from their own lives which become priceless case studies and you get extensive feedback on your elections. Each group session felt casual and approachable. It was less a top-down structure of instruction with someone lecturing at you for two hours and more a kind of learning that is collaborative and relational.

The one-on-one mentorship session with Drew was also one of those mind-blowing, worldview-expanding conversations about radical elections, root entities, history, and theurgy that made me feel a wondrous sense of being in the right place at the right time.
